American Conservation Experience is working in partnership with the US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) to recruit and manage fellows for the 2021 Directorate Fellows Program (DFP). DFP was established in 2014 with over 380 participants to date. DFP is a Direct Hire Authority Program. Upon successful completion, along with degree conferral, participants may be directly appointed without competition to USFWS positions. Over 150 DFP Fellows have been placed in permanent USFWS positions thus far.
The 2021 DFP is an 11-week Fellowship opportunity with over 100 vacancies for current rising senior, senior undergraduate or graduate level students. The USFWS set an application priority deadline of 12/16/2020 – we encourage students to apply ASAP.
The 2021 DFP Project List is Now Available: To preview a list of all 2021 DFP positions, please view the following link: HERE (project list attached)
