Three Master’s Research Assistantships

Position Descriptions: Three Master’s level Research Assistantships in urban and community forestry are available at Mississippi State University in the Department of Forestry. Assistantships will focus on:(1) State-wide analysis of land parcelization trends in rural and urbanizing areas(2) Social and biophysical impacts and trends of conservation easements. (3) Region-wide analysis of the impacts of municipal landscape and tree ordinances.
Qualifications for both assistantships: An undergraduate degree in forestry or a closely related field. A 3.50 GPA and English proficiency are desirable. A minimum TOFEL score of 80 is required. GRE is recommended but not required.
Salary and Benefits: Master’s Assistantships includes an annual stipend of $15,000 and a full waiver of the assessed tuition and required fees, and health insurance coverage.
