Some highlights of the Graduate Program in Marine Biology (GPMB) at the College of Charleston are:
- Program based at the Grice Marine Laboratory (GML), part of the Fort Johnson Marine Science Research Center, which consists of six collaborating institutions.
- Over 100 active faculty associated to the GPMB with diverse specialties.
- Students need not have an advisor, project, or funding identified prior to enrollment.
- A rigorous Master’s only program, both with respect to course work and thesis research expectations.
We support our students by offering them Teaching, Research, or Graduate Assistantships. Out-of-state students on assistantships may apply for an abatement of the out-of-state portion of the tuition.
Our application deadline is February 1 for Fall 2020 admission. You or your students may contact Norma Salcedo at (843) 953-9170 or SalcedoN@cofc.edu with any questions about our program or the application process.
