PLT Environmental Education Centers
Project Learning Tree provides nature centers, environmental education centers, school district sponsored centers, etc., with a comprehensive, award-winning environmental education program to use at special events or with visitors of all ages, but especially children.
The program uses forests as a "window to the world" to increase understanding of our complex environment. PLT cultivates awareness and appreciation for Florida’s natural resources while stimulating the ability to make informed decisions on environmental issues and the commitment to take responsible action on them.
To become certified as a PLT EE Center, the center agrees to:
- Hold at least one PLT educator workshop a year
- Have a staff member or volunteer become a PLT Facilitator
PLT EE Centers enjoy the following benefits:
- An annual certificate designating the center
