Bob is Program Coordinator of the Amazon Conservation Leadership Initiative, a program that provides graduate degree and mid-career training for conservation professionals from the Amazon-Andes region, as well as partnering with Amazonian universities in Acre, Brazil, Mato Grosso, Brazil, and Iquitos, Peru. During the 2010-2011 academic year, he is Interim Director of UF’s Tropical Conservation and Development Program.
Bob joined the School in 2001 as Program Coordinator for the Working in the Tropics IGERT program . This program ended in 2008 with Working Forests in the Tropics: Partnering Research with Practice for Conservation and Development Conference,
Both of these programs are affiliated with UF’s Tropical Conservation and Development Program.
Before coming to the University of Florida, Bob spent 14 years at WWF-US and WWF-Brazil where he directed the Tropical Forestry Program and was technical director of WWF-Brazil.
