Welcome to the SFRC! We hope that your career here is enjoyable, productive, and safe. We have put together this handbook in hopes that it is useful as you get started and also as a reference guide in the future.

This handbook is intended as a guide to the facilities, personnel, and procedures of the SFRC. It is a concise guide and not intended to replace either UF or IFAS rules and regulations.

The handbook is organized into sections alphabetically and covers everything from academic programs to vehicles. In each section the main contact person(s) are listed first. You should contact them directly if you have any questions about the material or procedures in that section. You will find the SFRC staff more than willing to assist you with all academic, fiscal, personnel, travel, and other needs.

This handbook and other information are contained on the SFRC website at http://sfrc.ifas.ufl.edu. The website describes the SFRC’s extension, instructional (undergraduate and graduate), and research programs. It also contains hot links to many other UF websites, and to websites of public and private organizations related to forest resources and geomatics around the world.
