Under limited supervision and utilizing broad objectives and guidelines, the Georgia Sea Turtle Center (GSTC) General Manager is responsible for leading and managing program development, operations and oversight of the Georgia Sea Turtle Center. The GSTC General Manager will collaborate with the Director to establish short/long term goals and ensure each department under their leadership achieves profitability and efficiency. The GSTC General Manager will manage various projects for the center, often in coordination with other members of the GSTC, Jekyll Island Authority, and Jekyll Island Foundation staff. The GSTC General Manager must possess strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, administrative skills, effective communication skills, and outstanding guest experience skills. Additionally, duties include: assisting in program planning and development, operations and accountability; fiscal planning and management; assisting in center promotion and marketing; staff management and supervision; grant writing.
