marchughesMARC HUGHES, post-doc
My academic interests are plant-insect-disease interactions and its effects on forest ecosystems. My research focuses on the development and implementation of our laurel wilt resistance screening program in redbay, with the goal of improved cultivars for reforestation; and to further elucidate the mechanisms of disease biology and host tolerance in the laurel wilt disease system. Outside my research, my interests include growing bonsai, hiking and traveling.
