Ahmed
H Mohamed, Assistant Professor, joined the School in August 2006
in a research and instruction faculty position. Before joining
the University of Florida, he was Director of the Geomatics Engineering
Technology program of the Royal Commission, Saudi Arabia. From
1999-2004 he lead a team of scientists at the Alberta Research
Council, Canada to develop Geomatics technologies. He worked
as research and teaching assistant at the University of Calgary
between 1994 and 1999. Ahmed also worked for Qatar University
and Ain-shams University and held past industrial positions in
Canada and Egypt.

Past experience or ongoing projects in Canada, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar, Oman, and Egypt.
Research Interests
Geomatics navigation and mapping technologies including direct geo-referencing,
GPS/GNSS, inertial navigation, digital imaging, LiDAR, and geospatial informatics,
and their applications in resource management and engineering.
