Matt
Cohen is an Assistant Professor of Forest Water Resources and Watershed
Systems. He joined the School of Forest Resources and Conservation
(SFRC) in March of 2006. His primary area of research is watershed
hydrology and biogeochemistry, with an emphasis on wetland processes.
He holds affiliate faculty status in the IFAS Soil and Water Science
Department, School of Natural Resources and Environment, and Center
for Environmental Policy at the University of Florida

M.E. – University of Florida (1999)
B.S . – Swarthmore College (1995)
Experience:
Prior to completing his PhD (2003), he worked as a research intern
with the World Agroforestry Center in Kenya. From 2003-2004 he worked
with the Center for Environmental Policy and the Wetland Biogeochemistry
Laboratory on research related to wetland systems, large-area soil
and water assessment technologies, and watershed management. In 2005-2006
he was an Assistant Research Scientist in Soil and Water Science at
UF working on development of a hydrologic observatory in the Suwannee
River basin, and various research efforts in the Everglades and North
Florida.
