DB Environmental, Inc. (DBE) has part- or full-time Data Analyst positions available in both Rockledge and Gainesville, FL. DBE supports Everglades restoration, performs research and development into “green technologies”, and conducts diagnostic and restoration studies in wetlands and lakes for government and private clients. DBE’s company headquarters and laboratory are in the city of Rockledge, located in east central Florida, with satellite offices in West Palm Beach and Gainesville, FL.
The successful applicant will have the background and skills to quickly become proficient in performing independent data analyses, which will involve the following tasks:
Create and maintain MS Excel data files for research and consulting studies.
Perform data verification and validation
Summarize data using MS Excel, Word, and Powerpoint software and provide updates to project managers as requested
Perform periodic internal audits
Archive completed research and consulting study data files
Retrieve and analyze data from public government databases
Plan, organize, and prioritize time and workload in order to meet task deadlines
BS degree in a scientific field
Advanced proficiency using MS Excel
Motivated, proven track record of accomplishing goals and objectives
Proven ability to multi-task and adjust to shifting priorities; flexible
Strong communication skills – written and oral
Experience using Esri’s ArcMap and Spatial Analyst software
Familiar with NELAC laboratory quality control/quality assurance (QA/QC) protocols
Familiarity with Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Field Activities (DEP-SOP-001/01)
