Assistant Professor in Silviculture

The successful candidate will be expected to establish an innovative and dynamic, nationally recognized, research program in managed forest ecosystems; develop grant proposals and secure funding; publish in peer reviewed, nationally recognized scientific journals; recruit and mentor graduate students; serve as an advisor for undergraduate students; and coordinate or contribute to cooperative research efforts by faculty and other stakeholders in the region. Teaching duties will include undergraduate and potentially graduate courses in silviculture and related courses in support of the program. The tenure-track, 12-month position will carry the rank of assistant professor with an approximate appointment of 70% research and 30% teaching.
